The upcoming new-gen Renault Duster was recently spied testing in India for the first time; launch in the second half of 2025
The Indian car market will witness the launch of a slew of new products in the coming months. The test mules of these upcoming models have already been spotted testing in the country, confirming their imminent launch. In the article, we will look at the upcoming ICE cars spied on tests in India.
1. New-Gen Renault Duster
The new-gen Renault Duster was recently spied for the first time on the Indian tarmac. Scheduled for a launch in the second half of 2025, the fully camouflaged test mule confirmed that the new Duster’s design will be identical to the international spec model.
In terms of dimensions, the 3rd-generation model will measure 4.34 meters long with 209 mm ground clearance. Based on the CMF-B platform, the upcoming Renault car will get a 130 bhp turbo petrol mild hybrid and a strong hybrid powertrain option is also likely for the India-spec model. The AWD system will also be available as an option with the new Duster.

2. Honda Amaze
Honda Cars India will launch the new-gen Amaze in the Indian market on December 4. The sedan has been spotted testing a few times in the country and the company recently revealed its design sketches, highlighting the new design language. Going by the images, the new sedan’s front fascia seems heavily inspired by the City with dual-pod LED headlamps with integrated DRLs and a new grille.
Inside the cabin, the sedan will feature a new dashboard layout with ADAS technology. The third-generation Amaze will be underpinned by a modified version of the platform that underpins the City and Elevate SUV. Under the hood, the existing 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine putting out 90 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque will be retained for the Indian market, mated to the option of a manual and a CVT gearbox.

3. Kia Syros
Expected to debut in the coming weeks, Kia has confirmed the Syros name for its upcoming SUV which will be positioned between the current Sonet and Seltos in the brand’s line-up. The test mule of the compact SUV has already been spotted multiple times in India and recently, the Korean carmaker shared the teaser images of the Syros, revealing its silhouette.
Going by the teaser, the Syros will sport an upright stance with a boxy design language and it is quite evident by the recent spy shots. In addition to this, we can spot the vertically stacked LED DRLs upfront, a large window line and LED tail lamps wrapped around the rear windshield, functional roof rails and flush-fitting door handles. The upcoming Kia Syros will get both ICE and electric powertrains, paired to a front-wheel-drive setup.
4. Kia Carens Facelift
Kia launched the Carens in the Indian market in February 2022. The MPV has been performing quite well since its debut and is already a competent product. The Korean carmaker is working on the mid-life facelift update of the Carens and it is expected to debut in the coming months, most likely in early 2025. The test mule of Carens Facelift has been spotted a few times in India and the updated MPV will feature an updated set of headlamps, connected LED DRLs and a revised front bumper amongst others.
A new set of alloy wheels will also be a part of the package along with refreshed LED tail lamps at the rear. In terms of features, the 360-degree parking camera is confirmed via spy shots and it could also get Level 2 ADAS. Under the hood, the familiar set of 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre tGDi petrol and 1.5-litre CDRi diesel engines will continue as it.
