In the top 10 midsize SUVs sales table in October 2024, Hyundai Creta sat on top ahead of Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Grand Vitara and Mahindra XUV700
In October 2024, the Hyundai Creta led the midsize SUV market in India, achieving impressive sales of 17,497 units – a 34 per cent year-on-year increase compared to 13,077 units sold during the corresponding period twelve months ago. Mahindra’s Scorpio lineup, encompassing both the Scorpio N and Classic models, achieved domestic sales of 15,677 units.
This marked a 15 per cent increase from the 13,578 units sold in October 2023. Similarly, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara also saw a boost in sales during the month. The Grand Vitara recorded 14,083 units in October 2024, rising from 10,834 units in the same month last year – a 30 per cent year-on-year increase – placing it third behind the Scorpio.
Meanwhile, the Mahindra XUV700 saw a domestic sales tally of 10,435 units, up from 9,297 units in October 2023, reflecting a 12 per cent year-on-year growth. The Kia Seltos took fifth place in October 2024’s midsize SUV sales rankings, but it faced the steepest decline among the top ten, with a 49 per cent year-on-year drop.

Its sales fell to 6,365 units from 12,362 in October 2023. In contrast, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder secured the sixth spot, achieving a 37 per cent increase in year-on-year sales, with 5,449 units sold compared to 3,987 in the previous October.
In October 2024, the Hyundai Alcazar ranked ninth in midsize SUV sales, following the Tata Curvv and Skoda Kushaq, with a 20 per cent year-on-year increase, reaching 2,204 units compared to 1,837 units in October 2023. The recent facelift contributed to this growth in sales. Meanwhile, the Skoda Kushaq secured the eighth position in the rankings.

The Skoda Kushaq recorded 2,213 units in sales in October 2024, down from 2,447 units in the same month last year, marking a 10 per cent year-on-year decline. The Tata Safari, however, achieved a notable 56 per cent year-on-year growth, finishing in tenth place with 2,086 units sold compared to 1,340 units in October 2023.
