Samsung‘s One UI 7 Beta will be available for Galaxy devices in the coming days, likely around mid-December 2024. This update will bring several new features and improvements, including the Live Effects.
With One UI 6.1.1, Samsung first introduced Live Effects for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Fold 6. Later, this feature became available on more Galaxy devices with the same update. Initially, One UI 6.1.1 was limited to a few devices, but with the One UI 7 update, Samsung plans to bring Live Effects to even more Galaxy phones.
With One UI 7, more Galaxy users will be able to enjoy Live Effects. However, the feature’s availability may vary depending on the region and device model.

Live Effects:
Samsung Live Effect feature turns regular 2D photos of people or pets into lively, moving 3D images. It uses machine learning to separate the main objects from the background and adds depth to the photo. This creates a 3D effect where the photo looks like it’s moving, almost as if the camera is re-taking the picture from different angles.
To use Live Effect, you just need to open a photo in the Samsung Gallery app, swipe up, and choose the “Live Effect” option. The app will process the photo and create a short parallax video. You can then save it, share it, or set it as your lock or home screen wallpaper. The effect works best with photos of people, pets, and portraits with blurred backgrounds.
Live Effect works offline, so you don’t need an internet connection to use it. It adds a fun, interactive touch to your photos to let you enjoy your memories in a new way. It gives life and depth to your photos to preserve your moments in all their glory.
