It’s been 10 months since Samsung launched this year’s Galaxy S flagships. Now, we are approaching the 2025, which will welcome the next-gen phones. A report suggests that Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra surpassed S23 Ultra sales.
According to the info (via Jukanlosreve), the Galaxy S24 series reached 31.85 million units in sales over 10 months. Hana Securities estimates that the sales grew by 17% over the Galaxy S23 series in the same period.
In particular, Samsung sold 10.94 million Galaxy S24, 6.27 million Galaxy S24 Plus, and 14.65 million Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones, as of October 2024.
It’s worth noting that the Galaxy S23 series reached 27.26 million units in sales last year. The S23 Ultra sold 12.6 million units, S23 Plus sold 4.97 million units and S23 sold 9.69 million units.
Samsung’s new flagships sold grew 17% this year than last year. The newly released foldables have also recorded better sales, reaching 4.28 million – thanks to the early launch strategy.
- Galaxy Z Fold 6 – 1.81 million
- Galaxy Z Flip 6 – 2.47 million
The data shows that Samsung’s foldable phones are doing a good job. The sales grew by 9% compared to 3.94 million units last year (Z Fold 5: 1.44 million and Z Flip 5: 2.51 million).
Galaxy S25 Ultra Release Date
Samsung could release the Galaxy S25 Ultra in early February next year. It was rumored that the pre-reservation could start in the first week of January, with the official unveiling could take place on January 22 in the United States.
Early rumors suggest that the Galaxy S25 series may get a price hike due to increased components cost. The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor is quite expensive due to its fabrication process node – TSMC 3nm.
