One UI 7 is set to usher in a new era of Samsung Lock Screen. New lock screen widgets, NowBar live activities, customizable clocks, iOS-inspired media player, and more are ready to elevate your Galaxy experience this fall.
Samsung will launch One UI 7 Beta by the end of this year. The company’s Spanish arm published the One UI 7 webpage, which was later taken down. In addition, some interface screenshots surfaced online revealing the lock screen.
The lock screen in One UI 7 will introduce various interface tweaks. New widgets will let you personalize the home screen while keeping it clean, and the elevated clock positional system will allow you to create a visually appealing look.
Dynamic widgets will display extended info without occupying much space. Leaked screenshots show you will be able to add widgets side by side. The widget components match the pill shape positioned in the Quick Settings panel.
The media player is also getting an Apple iOS-inspired design. NowBar will play a key role in upscaling the user experience. The tiny pill at the bottom will be interactive so you can extend the apps and functions on the lock screen.
Status Bar consists of a small pill featuring battery percentage. The Wi-Fi and cellular network indicator seems to be replicated from Samsung’s One UI 6. The lock component also looks unchanged on the One UI 7 lock screen.
Samsung hasn’t yet announced the One UI 7 Beta Program. However, we are not far from the official Beta to kick off for the Galaxy S24 series. Get ready to jump to a brand new world of the Samsung ecosystem this fall!
