Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) officially launched the fourth generation Dzire yesterday for a starting price of Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom) and we drove the new sedan in Goa a few days ago. The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire introduces extensive updates inside and out, marking a significant evolution from the previous model. It distinctly sets itself apart from its compact hatchback sibling, the Swift, which entered a new generation recently. This new sub-four-metre sedan has been made available in four variants.
The variant lineup includes LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi Plus trims while the CNG version is offered in VXi and ZXi. For performance, the new Dzire is powered by the same 1.2L Z12E three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine featured in the new Swift, equipped with a start/stop system across all trims. This engine delivers a maximum of 82 PS and 112 Nm of torque.

The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission as standard, with an optional five-speed AMT available. The manual variant offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 24.79 kmpl while the AMT version achieves 25.71 kmpl. A CNG variant, available only with the five-speed manual transmission, provides an impressive mileage of 33.73 km per kg.
The cabin of the 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes loaded with features including a floating nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a semi-digital instrument cluster, updated HVAC vents, a triple-tone dashboard, and a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel amongst others.

Additional standout features include cruise control, in-car connected technology, six airbags as standard, an electric sunroof (a segment first), push-button start/stop, a 360-degree camera system, rear AC vents, etc. It has also received five stars in the latest round of Global NCAP safety assessments.
