MG Motor India achieved a significant milestone by delivering 201 electric vehicles (EVs) in a single day in Bengaluru, marking a new benchmark in India’s EV adoption journey. The delivery lineup included the recently launched MG Windsor EV, alongside the MG ZS EV and the MG Comet EV.
A major portion of this delivery—75 MG ZS EVs—was handed over to Bengaluru Airport as part of its green mobility initiative with Refex Green Mobility. This achievement comes on the heels of MG Motor’s Diwali success, where 101 Windsor EVs were delivered in Bengaluru, underscoring the company’s aggressive push toward electrification.
Spearheading India’s EV Revolution
Speaking about the milestone, Sajjan Jindal of the JSW Group, a key stakeholder in MG Motor India, emphasized the company’s vision to revolutionize India’s EV landscape. “MG and JSW aim to create a Maruti-like movement in India’s EV segment, targeting a 33% market share by 2030,” said Jindal.
