Mahindra has unveiled the BE 6e, its first electric SUV under the Born Electric sub-brand, setting a bold benchmark in India’s EV market. Priced at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the BE 6e will hit showrooms in January 2025, with deliveries starting late February or early March. In a strategic move to balance elegance and sportiness, Mahindra has revealed four stunning color options that complement the futuristic design of the BE 6e.

The BE 6e will be available in four carefully curated shades:
- Dessert Myst A rich and glossy finish that exudes sophistication.
- Everest White Satin A satin-finish paint option for those seeking understated elegance.
- Tango Red A vibrant, glossy red to make a bold statement on the road.
- Firestorm Orange A fiery, glossy hue adding sporty appeal to the sleek SUV.
The mix of satin and glossy finishes ensures there’s an option for every taste, enhancing the vehicle’s sporty and premium aesthetics.

The Mahindra BE 6e combines futuristic style with practicality. Its sleek lines, prominent wheel arches, and sculpted hood contribute to its aggressive stance. Highlights of the design include:
- C-shaped LED DRLs and a sleek bumper for a cutting-edge look.
- A hood scoop and aerodynamic alloy wheels enhancing performance and road presence.
- An illuminated BE emblem on the hood for distinctive flair.
With dimensions of 4,371 mm in length, 1,907 mm in width, and 1,627 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,775 mm, the coupe-style SUV offers commanding road presence. 19-inch aero-optimized wheels come standard, with the option for larger 20-inch wheels for added appeal. The vehicle offers a generous 455 litres of boot space and an additional 45-litre frunk.

The BE 6e offers a tech-rich and luxurious cabin:

Powertrain and Range
The BE 6e shares its powertrain with the XEV 9e, built on Mahindra’s advanced INGLO architecture. Key specifications include:
- Battery Options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs.
- Fast Charging: 20-80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.
- Range: While the 59 kWh pack’s range is yet to be disclosed, the 79 kWh version promises an impressive 682 km (ARAI-tested).
