The Honda City Facelift is expected to arrive in India sometime in 2025; To sport cosmetic and feature updates
Honda recently revealed the updated City for the Brazilian market and it will go on sale on November 9. The 2025 Honda City Facelift features minor design changes and an updated set of features. In India, the facelift model is expected to arrive sometime next year. In this article, we will look at the top 5 things to know about the 2025 Honda City Facelift.
1. 2025 Honda City Facelift: Updated Design
While the changes to the design are not that prominent, the City Facelift appears sportier than before. The updated model gets a new grille with added horizontal slats and the chrome part has been subtly reworked to make it slimmer. Towards the rear, the bumper has been revised to give the sedan a cleaner and refreshed stance. Overall, the four-wheeler’s length has gone up by 25 mm.
2. 2025 Honda City Facelift: Interiors
The Honda City sold in Brazil features a white and black cabin theme that is different from what we get in the India-spec model. With the facelift, the interiors of the Brazilian-spec model remain the same, however, we can expect some changes to the interiors when the facelift model arrives in the domestic market next year.

3. 2025 Honda City Facelift: Feature Additions
The Brazilian-spec City gets an electronic parking brake (EPB) as a part of the facelift update. In addition to this, all four disc brakes are now standard across the range. As per the details revealed by the company, the touchscreen infotainment system gets updated graphics, improved user interface and resolution along with a better quality rear camera. We expect these updates to be a part of the package with the India-spec 2025 City Facelift.
4. 2025 Honda City Facelift: Powertrain
Under the hood, the Honda City sold in Brazil continues with the familiar 1.5-litre four-cylinder flex-fuel naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. The power output is rated at 126 bhp for both gasoline and ethanol fuel options. The torque for the gasoline version stands at 152 Nm while the ethanol scores a bit higher at 155 Nm.
In India, the 2025 City will continue to be powered by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with power output rated at 121 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox. The strong hybrid Honda City e:HEV will also continue as it is in the Indian market with the 2025 update.

5. 2025 Honda City Facelift: India Launch, Expected Price & Rivals
Honda Cars India will launch the City Facelift in the domestic market next year i.e. 2025. With these minor updates, expect the updated City to get a minor price hike over the current model. Once launched, the 2025 Honda City Facelift will continue to rival the likes of Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Hyundai Verna in the Indian market.
