Hero Karizma XMR 250 and the 2025 Mavrick 400 have been revealed at the ongoing 2024 EICMA show in Milan ahead of their Indian market launch
Hero MotoCorp is encountering a busy show floor experience as the 2024 EICMA event in Milan, Italy has witnessed a slew of new motorcycle debuts from the brand. Besides introducing the second generation Xpulse 210, utilising the more powerful liquid-cooled engine from the Karizma XMR 210, and a naked quarter litre streetfighter, Hero has unveiled more new offerings.
The updated version of the Mavrick 440 has come to the spotlight while the all-new Karizma XMR 250 has also been introduced. Both motorcycles will go on sale soon in India. The Karizma XMR 250 is essentially the upgraded version of the existing XMR 210 and it boasts sleeker bodywork, integrated winglets, a split LED headlamp unit, new graphics and air curtains on the sides.
As the name suggests, it gets a new 250 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected mill which produces a maximum power output of 30 bhp and 25 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a six-speed transmission with a slipper and assist clutch as standard fitment. It also comes with clip-on handlebars that are adjustable for height and a TFT instrument console.

It is suspended on upside-down front forks and a pre-load adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear while a dual-channel ABS system supports front and rear disc brakes. It will be pitted against the KTM RC 200, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and Gixxer SF 250. The updated Mavrick 440, on the other hand, has gained a new paint scheme along with a golden-coloured inverted fork unit.
The LCD instrument cluster has been ditched in favour of a TFT screen lifted from its sibling, the Harley Davidson X440. The motorcycle is lighter by two kilograms than before. It continues to use the 440 cc single-cylinder air- and oil-cooled engine which kicks out 27 bhp and 36 Nm. It is paired with a six-speed transmission.
