The picturesque city of Udaipur, often the chosen destination for grand celebrity weddings, is all set to host another star-studded event. Two-time Olympic medalist and badminton icon PV Sindhu will marry Venkat Datta, Executive Director of Posidex Technologies, in a three-day celebration starting December 20. Sindhu’s family finalized Udaipur as the wedding venue considering her packed schedule for 2024. Her father, PV Ramana, shared, “Both families have known each other for a long time. Given Sindhu’s busy calendar starting January, this was the ideal time for the wedding.”

A City of Celebrations
Udaipur continues to attract celebrity weddings, cementing its reputation as a premier destination for luxury celebrations. Similarly, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s niece Nikita Chaudhary’s wedding also took place in Udaipur, with prominent NRIs and celebrities in attendance.
PV Sindhu’s Journey to the Aisle
The wedding festivities will begin with pre-wedding rituals on December 20, including mehendi and sangeet, followed by the wedding on December 22. Post-wedding, the family will host a grand reception in Hyderabad on December 24, expected to see attendance from prominent figures from the sports, business, and entertainment worlds.
