The Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric 2.0 project is set to evolve into a production model in the future, following the Flying Flea C6
The Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric 2.0 made its world premiere at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy, before being showcased over three days at the Motoverse event in Goa. Building on its initial debut at last year’s EICMA, this latest iteration introduces significant upgrades and fresh design elements. With the Himalayan Electric 2.0, Royal Enfield aims to enhance its electric adventure motorcycle, moving closer to a production-ready model.
The prototype of the Himalayan Electric 2.0 draws heavy inspiration from the Himalayan 450, combining elements of an adventure tourer with a rally-inspired design. It features a tall, transparent windscreen and a round LED headlamp, similar to the latest Himalayan. The tank area of the electric model also mirrors the design of its internal combustion engine counterpart.
It features a more compact and cohesive design compared to the Himalayan 450, thanks to the enclosed battery pack and electric motor. At EICMA, it shared the spotlight with the Flying Flea C6 while Royal Enfield also teased the S6 scrambler. With these developments, the brand is actively working on a trio of electric motorcycles for the Indian market.

The Flying Flea C6 is confirmed for a launch in Spring 2026 with the S6 expected to follow in 2027. The Himalayan Electric 2.0 is also likely to debut around the same time. This new iteration of the Himalayan EV will feature an upgraded battery pack and e-motor along with a redesigned instrument console that boasts an improved user interface.
The Himalayan Electric 2.0 is equipped with wire-spoked wheels finished in a striking golden color. Suspension duties are handled by front and rear disc brakes, complemented by a dual-channel ABS system. The motorcycle also features a large swingarm and a tall rider position, offering excellent ground clearance and a long wheelbase. Additionally, the design includes provisions for mounting touring accessories, enhancing its adventure-ready capabilities.

A standout feature of the Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric 2.0 is its electronic suspension, which promises improved performance and adaptability. The bike is also equipped with golden coloured upside-down forks at the front for better handling. In a design nod to the Himalayan 450, the sleek LED turn indicators also function as the LED tail lamps.
