Maruti Suzuki Brezza topped the compact SUV sales chart in October 2024, outpacing competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Tata Punch and Tata Nexon
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza retained its position as the best-selling compact SUV in October 2024, with 16,565 units sold, marking a slight 3% increase from the 16,050 units sold in October 2023. Meanwhile, the Maruti Fronx continued its impressive momentum, maintaining strong sales numbers and building on its success since its launch.
The Maruti Fronx posted impressive growth in October 2024 with 16,419 units sold, a significant 45% increase from the 11,357 units in October 2023, securing its position as the second best-selling compact SUV for the month. Close behind, the Tata Punch recorded 15,740 units, reflecting a modest 3% year-on-year growth over the 15,317 units sold in October last year, placing it in third.
The Tata Nexon took the fourth position in October 2024, despite experiencing a 13% drop in sales to 14,759 units, down from 16,887 units the previous year. Following closely, the Hyundai Venue secured fifth place with 10,901 units, marking a 6% decline from 11,581 units in October 2023.

Meanwhile, the Kia Sonet achieved a 49% year-on-year growth, rising to 9,699 units from 6,493 units last October, placing it sixth on the compact SUV sales leaderboard. The Mahindra XUV 3XO has been performing consistently since its market launch a few months ago and in October 2024, a total of 9,562 units were recorded.
This led to a YoY sales increase of 97% as a total of 4,865 units were sold during the corresponding period twelve months ago. The Hyundai Exter was the eighth most sold compact SUV in India last month as 7,127 units were posted against 8,097 units in October 2023 with a YoY decline of 12%.

The Nissan Magnite and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor covered the ninth and tenth places respectively. The former registered a domestic tally of 3,119 units as against 2,573 units with a YoY growth of 21% while the Taisor managed a total of 3,092 units as it outsold the Renault Kiger which garnered 1,053 units.
