Here’s an overview of the three upcoming Kia EVs expected to launch in India next year
The zero-emission PV market is all pumped to witness rapid growth in 2025 and Kia is preparing to play a major role by introducing three new models across diverse categories. Here’s an outline of the expected launches as the brand expands its electric lineup:
1. Kia EV6 Facelift:
Earlier this year, Kia globally unveiled the refreshed EV6, featuring significant updates to its exterior and interior, along with a new battery pack. The interior now boasts a redesigned curved panoramic screen, combining a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Additional enhancements include a revamped two-spoke steering wheel and a convenient fingerprint reader for added ease. After the positive response to the EV6 in India, the updated version is expected to arrive in the country in 2025.
2. Kia Carens EV:
3. Kia Sonet EV:
The electric sub-four-metre SUV segment is gaining momentum, and Kia is reportedly developing a new EV based on the Sonet’s platform to establish a strong foothold. This upcoming model is expected to compete with the Tata Punch EV and Mahindra’s soon-to-launch XUV300 EV. It is likely to feature a battery pack offering a range of 400 to 450 km per charge, catering to the demands of this growing market.

The upcoming Kia electric SUV could be priced aggressively in India, with the base variant expected to start below Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Given that the ICE Sonet is already well-equipped, the electric version is likely to carry forward a similar feature-rich package, enhancing its appeal in the competitive EV market.
