Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to expand its electric vehicle portfolio with the inclusion of brand new offerings including the electrified XUV 3XO and two born electric SUVs from the BE and XEV series respectively. Here we have brought you a rundown of all the key details about the upcoming trio as they will cater to a wide band of customers:
1&2. Mahindra BE 6e & XEV 9e
Mahindra’s upcoming electric SUVs will carry forward names and designs inspired by their concept roots. The BE.05-based model will go into production as the ‘BE 6e’ while the XUV.e9-inspired SUV named ‘XEV 9e’ will showcase a coupe-like roofline. Both models will introduce Mahindra’s future design direction, featuring prominent LED Daytime Running Lights and connected light bars emphasising a commanding upright front fascia.
Building on their generous proportions, both the BE 6e and XEV 9e will come with panoramic sunroofs, with the BE 6e’s roof showcased in a recent teaser. Interior features include a new flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, and a distinctive triple-screen layout, adding a tech-forward touch to the cabin.

Utilizing the dedicated INGLO skateboard platform, the SUVs benefit from wheels pushed outward, optimizing interior space and maximizing battery placement beneath the floor for better balance and stability. The Mahindra BE 6e is set to rival the Tata Curvv EV, boasting a rear-wheel-drive setup powered by a Valeo-supplied electric motor that delivers 231 hp and 380 Nm of torque.
Buyers will have the choice of two battery packs: a 60 kWh option and a larger 79 kWh variant, with the latter expected to offer a WLTP-rated range exceeding 450 km.
