2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V gets a new paint scheme and upside-down front forks replacing the traditional telescopic units; no other mechanical changes made
TVS Motor Company has today announced the launch of the updated Apache RTR 160 4V in the domestic market. The naked motorcycle gets a new paint scheme as part of this model year update. However, the biggest change lies with the new upside-down front forks, replacing the traditional telescopic units. The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V carries a price tag of Rs. 1,39,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
While no visual changes have been made, the Apache RTR 160 4V does not look dated courtesy of its sharp design philosophy and race-inspired body panels. The new dual-tone red and grey shade adds sportiness to the motorcycle while the seat is finished in black and contrast red colour. The upside-down front forks are done up in golden colour as its siblings.
Besides the inverted forks, no mechanical changes have been implemented though as the Apache RTR 160 4V continues with the familiar 160 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled fuel-injected engine which produces a maximum power output of 17.55 bhp and 14.73 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain is mated to a five-speed transmission. The USD-equipped variant now sits at the top of the range.

Elsewhere you could find pre-load adjustable monoshock rear suspension and front and rear disc brakes assisted by a dual-channel ABS system. The motorcycle comprises three ride modes namely Sport, Urban and Rain and it runs on 17-inch wheels at the front and rear. The equipment list comprises a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and voice assistance.
For the rider’s convenience, it also gets GTT (Glide Through Technology) as he/she can start the motorcycle moving by slowly releasing the clutch lever. This eliminates the need to synchronize the clutch and throttle levers, which can help prevent stalling. Compared to the other dual-channel ABS variant, the USD-spec 160 4V is just over Rs. 500 costlier.
